TV Times Running Team
The Banana Army
Steven and his wife Abby Francis have been members of the TV Times Leukaemia Research running team for 10 years. Steven has completed four marathons and over twenty five half marathons, 10K races and fun runs. He aims to break the four hour marathon barrier very soon after coming very close in 2008.
Other celebrity members include actors Christopher Eccleston, Cal Macaninich, Jason Flemying, John Michie, Jonathan Kerrigan, Matthew Macfayden, Richard Harrington, Shelley Conn, Shona Macdonald, Ray Macallan, Robert Portal, David Robb, Mark Lewis-Jones and Heather Peace. The team features stars from Coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Bill, Midsommer Murders, Shameless, Casualty, Doctors, Holby City and Eastenders to name but a few.
The team was founded in 1982 by Ken Lomas after he lost his daughter to Leukaemia, in 2005 Ken Was Awarded the MBE for his services to the charity, he is now assisted by his other daughter Dawn Thompson.
